Book’s name: The Warrior’s Bride: Biblical Strategies to Help the Military Spouse Thrive
Don’t just survive. Thrive.

Warriors Bride REDUCED

The call came down from Command, and your warrior husband is out the door, leaving you behind to handle whatever he has left undone. Whether it’s the day-to-day monotony, the inevitable appliance that breaks, or the months without his presence beside you, being a military spouse brings challenges few appreciate. Yet God sees you and longs for you to boldly step into His plan. He purposely chose you for this moment—for your man. He wants to give you abundantly more than what you have right now and desires you to thrive as your warrior’s bride.

Carrie’s book obviously caters to military spouses, but she says that civilian spouses would also benefit from the book as well.
She, along with co-author Kathy Barnett, were inspired to write the book after ministering to military spouses and finding that they were answering the same questions to many of the wives they encountered. Together they wrote the book as an encouragement for military families.
Carrie said one of the hardest parts with writing her book was just how real they had to get.
“We both share some intensely personal things in the book, knowing some of our families and friends would be reading it,” she said.
She and Kathy had to get permission from a few people to share stories that involved them, and she notes that there was also a good amount of praying for their grace.
Scripture, of course, plays a part in The Warrior’s Bride. Carrie said the scripture that she went to the most for this book, and all of her writing, is Ephesians 3:20-21: Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more that all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!
“I want God to work through the words of the book to do more in marriages and military families around the world than I can even imagine—all for His glory.”

As for her future writing plans, Carrie has a new book being released April 20th geared specifically for military children. A New Home for Allie addresses the most common fears faced by the children of men and women in the military.
“We moved every couple of years during my husband’s career, and my children felt the affects of that. A New Home for Allie addresses the most common fears of young children, yet reassures them that even though moving is hard, great things await us at the new home,” she said.
