Reviews for Bell of the Night

“When I first began Bell of the Night, I’ll be honest, I went into it holding my breath. But as soon as I finished chapter one, I immediately was enraptured by Bell, Teddy, and their story. Wells does a magnificent job in creating realistic characters and scenarios. I loved the raw and gritty details of Bell of the Night and how Bell challenged God. Teddy’s wholesome love and goodness encouraged me that there are good people still fighting for the right thing and willingly doing God’s work.
This book was beautifully crafted and had me tearing up more than once (and I don’t cry easily!)
My favorite quote: “Teddy wasn’t sure how to feel. He was a preacher, a man after God’s heart. He was supposed to avoid people of doubtful repute. Yet, Christ had called him to minister to people such as these. Sinners. People who wouldn’t know Him otherwise.”” – V. Romas Burton, author of Heartmender

“To be absolutely honest, I was a little skeptical at first, going into the book, since I haven’t exactly read Christian fiction before and I had no idea what to expect. Would I, a non Christian, be able to understand? to relate? Well yes… yes I did, not only understand, but I also enjoyed it SO very much! I finished it in less than 2 days, which is no easy feat with a one year old, but the urge to know what was going to happen to Bell and Teddy was just too strong to leave for another day. The plot gently caressed my heart and then twisted it and then stomped on it and then again caressed it again..

Bell’s world will make you think twice about being prejudiced against those who are like her, their lives are absolutely heartbreaking! And knowing how strong human trafficking still is today only makes this even more heartbreaking! The way the writer brings these people, their unfortunate circumstances to life makes you really REALLY think about how relevant the storyline is to all of us.

and who knew a preacher could be THAT desirable? He didn’t just want to save these souls from being damned for the sake of it, but he REALLY wanted to get to know them, he genuinely wanted to help them and that speaks volumes about his character/personality.

I urge everyone to read this. This book is so so soooooooooooo much more than just a pretty cover (and oh boy, the cover IS gorgeous! ). It’s a book that MAKES you THINK! Hats off to Allison Wells for this unputdownable story.” ❤ – Ovi on GoodReads
